From TCC Chair - Charles Fletcher : The TCC subcommittee developing your new Community Plan has canvased community views over the last 8 months and it now formulating the new Community Plan for Tamahere, taking into consideration a mutally beneficial association with Matangi and Tuawhare. Hamilton City and Cambridge/Hautapu growth pressures have the potential to adversely impact on the lifestyle experiences currently enjoyed in these current rural, country living and village environments. Local roads are already suffering from the influences these pressures (e.g. construction of the new "peanut roundabout" on Morrinsville Road).

The aim is to deliver this plan during October 2026 so that it can be adopted by the Waikato Disctrict Council it time for consideration for the February 2027 deliberations for the LTP update.
