Vision75 Goes Online to Make Having Your Say Easier

Safer and efficient roading, useful bus services, targeted rates and the future creation of food producing 'hamlets' - Tamahere residents now have an easier way to contribute to Vision75, with a dedicated online page, short survey and questions for discussion.
The next three-years serve as the foundation going forward and will also become part of the Waikato District Council's LTP (Long Term Plan).
The Vision75 page brings together a plain-English reading guide, the full discussion document to download and a short priorities survey. Residents can identify their three most important topics, suggest what should happen first, comment on targeted rates and share longer-term ideas. There is space at the bottom of the survey for extra comments you might choose to make.
For those wanting to explore particular proposals, 22 separate question posts are available in the Tamahere Vision75 fourm group. Residents can join through the Forum’s Groups page and comment beneath whichever topics interest them. If you choose, there is no need to answer every question.
The approach encourages electronic responses to reduce paperwork and make feedback easier to collate. Survey answers can be exported for analysis, while the discussion posts keep detailed comments connected to the relevant issue. Findings will be brought together with responses from Sunday’s drop-in session to help identify priorities, concerns and possible next steps.
Paper remains an option. Facilitators with laptops and tablets will also be available to help residents contribute electronically at the Tamahere Community Centre Sunday, 18 October, from 2–5pm for the Council Hosted drop-in session, exploring LTP needs for the community.
Vision75 considers both Tamahere’s immediate priorities and the longer-term future of Tamahere with the second - phase of the vision plan incorporating Matangi and Tauwhare. Whether you have a concern about an intersection or an idea for the next generation, there is now a place to put it.
