Waikato District Council is inviting residents to play a more direct role in shaping the future of their communities through the launch of the new Community Voice Panel (CVP).
This initiative provides a simple, ongoing way for people aged 16 and over to share their views on local issues, projects, and services through a small number of short online surveys each year. Insights gathered from the panel will help Council better understand community priorities, improve services, and support more informed decision-making across the district.
The Community Voice Panel is designed to be easy and flexible. Members will occasionally receive brief surveys covering topics that matter locally, from community facilities and infrastructure to future planning and service improvements. Participation is entirely voluntary, and each completed survey gives members the opportunity to go into draws for local prizes. Council is particularly encouraging a broad and diverse mix of residents to join, ensuring the panel reflects the full voice of the Waikato district.
