Candidate Statement
Having been a resident in Tamahere for over 16 years I have seen substantial change in the area, and can see considerable opportunities. I have been married for 41 years, with 2 sons and 3 grandchildren.
I have held executive positions in the Dairy and Food industries, both locally and internationally. I have been a member of NZ Institute of Directors, where I've held a number of Directorships.
Giving back to my community is an important part of my core values. I am a natural collaborator who's willing to listen and represent all views, and believe it is a privilege to contribute to the development of the district.
Managing resources and minimising costs of essential services, while bringing accountability will drive my endeavours. I believe council must be held to account for the sky-rocketing rates and needs to re-focus on its core services and the requirements of the local area.
