Field Days Traffic Plan Same As last Year But With a Couple of Tweaks

The traffic management plan for Field Days 2025 only has minor adjustments from the previous year's event. The only change is that in the afternoon, there will be no access north towards Tamahere from Hamilton Airport from 4 pm to 6 pm.

As with last year, there will be a no-through road system on SH21 (Airport Road) from Raynes Road in the morning. Traffic using SH3 into Hamilton to travel south on SH1 should expect this journey to take an additional 10 minutes based on the travel information we gathered in previous years and the required detour at Tamahere Interchange during peak morning flows. We will only implement this in the morning for up to 3 hours, and you will be able to see live updates on when it is closed or open to through traffic. A great, sustainable way to travel to and from the Field Days is to use the Free Park & Ride bus services. You will be dropped off and picked up almost right at the event gates.
